Suspension à deux lumières à corps circulaire évidé en métal laqué jaune à petites perforations, et réflecteur en plexiglas opalin à effet sablé fixé en son centre par une patère circulaire en métal chromé.
Ce travail français des années 50/60 est typique des productions de Jacques Biny via sa maison d’édition Luminalite, ou bien encore des objets édités par la maison Lunel. D’aspect minimaliste, réduite à ce bandeau circulaire à petites perforations, laquée d’un très beau jaune, cette suspension est charmante et produit une lumière agréable, chaleureuse.

Électrification et système d’accroche par câble entièrement restaurés. À noter : une très légère déformation, petites traces d’oxydation (uniquement à l’intérieur donc invisibles une fois le luminaire installé). Patine et signes d’usures conformes à l’âge de l’objet. Très beau rendu de la couleur !

Two-light pendant lamp with a hollow circular body in yellow lacquered metal with small perforations, and an opaline plexiglass reflector with a sandblasted effect fixed in the centre by a circular chrome metal hook.

With its minimalist appearance, reduced to a circular band with small perforations, lacquered in a beautiful yellow, this pendant light is charming and produces a pleasant, warm light.
Electrification and cable hanging system fully restored. Please note: very slight deformation, small traces of oxidation (only on the inside, therefore invisible once the light is installed). Beautiful colour rendering, patina and signs of wear consistent with the age of the object.

Très rare paire d’appliques ou caches-ampoules brutalistes du vitrailliste français Jean-Simon Labret, fabriquées à la main dans les années 70.
Ces pièces se composent d’épais pavés de verre taillés, martelés, assemblés en mosaïque pour former un réceptacle à fixer au mur par un crochet ou une vis (patte de fixation présente au dos de l’objet), en le disposant par dessus une ampoule. Les couleurs rouge, jaune, orange du verre sont profondes et chaleureuses, aussi intenses allumées qu’éteintes. Ce sont de véritables sculptures de verre lumineuses.
Signature de l’artiste au dos. Parfait état de la paire.

A very rare pair of brutalist wall lights or bulb covers by French stained glass artist Jean-Simon Labret, handmade in the 1970s.
These pieces consist of thick pieces of cut and hammered glass assembled in a mosaic to form a receptacle that can be fixed to the wall with a hook or screw (mounting bracket on the back of the object), placing it over a light bulb. The red, yellow and orange colours of the glass are deep and warm, as intense when lit as when unlit. These are true luminous glass sculptures.
